THE BIG BOUNCE

Let me give it to you straight and right
up front! This picture was the BIGGEST P.O.S. (Piece Of Shit) I have
seen in a very long time! Junk! Trash! P.O.S.! What
drew me to this debacle was Morgan Freeman. I have yet to see him in
a bad picture..........UNTIL NOW! And the rest of the cast (well, most
of it) was encouraging, Gary Sinise, Willie Nelson, Bebe Neuwirth, Charlie
Sheen and even good-ole-boy Harry Dean Stanton. How could they go wrong
with a lineup like this? And add the writer, a great writer like Elmore
Leonard (Jackie Brown...1997 and Out Of
Sight...1998) and all I could think was, WHAT a waste! Notice
I didn't mention Owen Wilson with the lineup? Look, he seems like a
nice guy but he CAN'T ACT!!! He is not a "star" and in my opinion will
never be more than a character actor. I like him but a leading actor
he ain't!
The premise of this story is somebody is getting scammed and we have to
figure out who. Jack Ryan (Wilson) is a construction worker/surfer/thief
who meets a tall, SKINNY blond, Nancy (Sara Foster), who he can't seem to
stay away from. She is the bimbo/squeeze of Ray Richie (Sinise), developer/crook,
who is married to Alison Richie (Neuwirth). Morgan Freeman is a judge/domino
player and always seems to be everywhere. Through the whole picture
Ryan is trying to figure out who he can trust and who is out to get him.
Just when you think..............OH! NEVER MIND!! GOOD LORD! There
is no way to describe the disjointed and jerky plot!
I am trying to think of a picture that was this bad and I can't! Wilson
should stop pretending to be a leading actor! Foster should gain some weight!
And Freeman should GIVE BACK THE MONEY! I wish the movie theatre
would give me back mine.
RECOMMENDATION: Walk, run or BOUNCE away from this one! It was
horrible and you know I rarely say that unless forced to! My money is
gone but I can still save you from a similar fate.
TWO FOUL SMELLN', GARBAGE SOAKED THUMBS DOWN! (Wishin' I had snuck
in!)
